Lake Park Approves 28E

November 23, 2014

(Lake Park)– A 28E agreement that will help fund water quality improvement projects in Dickinson county has cleared its final hurdle.

The Lake Park city council last evening voted unanimously to approve the measure. All other cities and the Dickinson county board of supervisors have already signed off on it.

Orville Berg of Citizens Concerned for Water Quality, a group that actively promoted the 28E, said a committee of representatives from each governmental entity will hold an organizational meeting next month.

Berg says having the 28E in place will help Dickinson county land state and federal grants since it will already have local matching funds in place.
