Milford Woman Victim Of Alleged Kidnapping

November 23, 2014

(Spencer)– Authorities say a Milford woman was the victim of an alleged kidnapping earlier this week in Spencer.

Police say a woman got into her estranged husband’s vehicle to talk to him Tuesday in the parking lot of the Spencer Wal-Mart when he allegedly took off with her. Family members told police they received a cell phone call from the alleged victim who said she was being held against her will. She was able to give a description of the vehicle…which was relayed to law enforcement agencies. A vehicle matching the description was located later that day in the Webster City area. The driver, 39-year-old Scott Johnson of Pleasant Hill, Iowa was arrested on outstanding warrants. Authorities say he also faces kidnapping charges. Johnson is being held in the Calhoun county jail.

The alleged kidnapping victim, 33-year-old Deelyn Johnson of Milford, sustained a head injury when she tried to get away from her estranged husband. She was taken to a Fort Dodge hospital for treatment of a head injury.
