Funding Awarded For Study Of Lower Gar/Mill Creek

(Washington, D.C.)– The state of Iowa is receiving 300-thousand dollars from the U-S Environmental Protection Agency. Of that, 215-thousand will go to research projects on several rivers and lakes…including Lower Gar Lake and Mill Creek near Milford.

The funds will be used for water sampling and a fish survey of Mill Creek and for a core sediment survey in Lower Gar.
