(Spencer)– For the first time in 45 years, a different carnival will be on the midway at this year’s Clay County Fair in Spencer.
Fair Manager Phil Hurst tells KUOO news the Mighty Thomas Shows will NOT be at this year’s fair because of a scheduling change. In the past, The Thomas Shows came to the Clay county fair after the South Dakota State Fair. The date for that event was bumped up this year. As a result, the Thomas Shows decided to tour the western part of the country.
The Merriam Brothers Carnival will be in Spencer in place of the Thomas Shows.
The Clay County Fair starts this Saturday and continues through Sunday, September 16th.
