Ringsted Man Pleads To Weapons Charge

(Sioux City)– A Ringsted man has pleaded guilty in U-S District Court to one count of possession of a firearm by a felon.

34-year-old Rodney Jerald Doty was arrested by the Emmet County Sheriff’s Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.

Doty faces a maximum of 10 years in prison; a fine of up to 250-thousand dollars; a mandatory special assessment of one hundred dollars and supervised release of no more than three years.

Sentencing is set for 3:00 p.m. November 15th.
