(Des Moines)– Governor Tom Vilsack extended his condolences to those affected by this morning’s horrendous terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon in Washington, D.C.
The Governor said the state of Iowa is responding in an appropriate way by increasing security at various state government buildings and other facilities.
Vilsack says while it’s important state workers be vigilant of suspicious persons and activity, that they go about their business with a sense of calm and order.
For the most part, it’s been business as usual today for Iowa state government.
