(Washington, D.C.)– A Milford native was working in a nearby Washington, D.C. building yesterday when a plane plowed into the Pentagon.
Joel Klingseis, a 1967 of what was then Milford High School, used to work in the Pentagon.
The building he was working in yesterday is less than a mile from the Pentagon. Klingseis says he could clearly see smoke coming from the severely damaged building.
Klingseis is uncertain exactly how many people could have been in that particular part of the Pentagon that was hit. He says that area of the building was undergoing a rennovation.
Klingseis says he has some close ties to people who work in that part of the building…having worked with them previously. He’s obviously very concerned for their well-being.
