(Spirit Lake)– A huge financial outpouring for the American Red Cross.
A spontaneous fundraising effort launched yesterday by KUOO/KUQQ raised 33,388-dollars by 7:30 last evening.
And donations are still pouring in today. As of mid-morning, contributions surpassed the 40-thousand dollar mark. The total was $48,510.00
All of the money goes to assist Red Cross Disaster relief efforts in New York and Washington, D.C.
KUOO/KUQQ continues to accept donations and pledges until atleast 5:00 p.m. today. You can drop off donations at our studios on Highway nine west in Spirit Lake; at our Spencer office in the Harmon Glass building on south Grand Avenue; or at the McDonalds/Ranch Amusement Park/KUOO Campus Cruiser at the Clay County Fair.
