Local Housing Initiative Receives Federal Funding

(Spencer)– A local housing initiative is the recipient of some federal funding.

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development announced Thursday it’s awarded more than 18 million dollars to communities in Iowa. Of that, the Northwest Iowa Regional Housing Authority in Spencer will receive 37,665-dollars.

The funding will make it possible for the agency to keep its coordinator of the rental certificate and Housing Choice Voucher Family Self Sufficiency programs.
