(Spirit Lake)– A power outage this (Thurs.) morning plunged the southern edge of Spirit Lake and a portion of Francis Sites into darkness.
Officials with Alliant Energy say a truck collided with a utility pole around 7:45 a.m. near the cable t.v. tower just south of Spirit Lake on Stakeout Road. Several electric lines and a cable television transmission line were knocked down as a result.
Electricity was restored to most of the affected area within an hour.
No injuries were reported.
