(Windom)– One person was killed in a two-vehicle accident Thursday evening on the Jackson/Cottonwood county line near Windom.
Jackson county authorities say vehicles driven by 33-year-old Kyle Sinn of Trimont and 55-year-old Virginia Jensen of Bingham Lake collided at the intersection of two county roads.
Sinn was taken by ambulance to the Windom Area Hospital and was transferred to a Mankato hospital where he’s listed in fair condition. Jensen died of injuries she received.
A 1989 Dodge pickup driven by Sinn and a 1988 Ford van driven by Jensen were both totaled.
The mishap took place around 6:00 p.m.
the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office, Minnesota State Patrol, Mountain Lake Fire and Rescue and the Mountain Lake ambulance.
The accident remains under investigation.
