(Wahpeton)– The Wahpeton city council has denied a request to update the city’s comprehensive plan.
Wahpeton’s Planning and Zoning Commission made the request. It’s members said they wanted to see a new long-range plan before acting on a proposal to rezone all commercial property in the city to lake front residential.
The rezoning issue stems from a request to construct condominiums at what is now Crescent Beach Resort.
The council took the action at their meeting Monday saying they’re happy with the present zoning ordinance.
