(Okoboji)– Saying their neighborhood wreaks of grease, a petition with signatures of 27 residents living near Okoboji Boats was presented at last evening’s Okoboji City Council meeting. It expresses concern over a judge’s ruling rejecting the city’s request for a temporary injunction barring Eddie’s Chicken from operating out of the building.
City Attorney Mike Chozen said the city plans to seek a permanent injunction against the operation.
Eddie Gochenour, who owns the business, says he was disappointed to learn that. He also hadn’t been aware of the petition until last night.
City Attorney Mike Chozen said he’ll contact those who signed the petition to see if they’d be willing to testify in court on the city’s behalf.
