Spirit Lake Intersection May Be In For Facelift

November 23, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– An extremely visible corner at one of the busiest intersections in the area may be in for a facelift.

At the request of the city’s betterment committee, the Spirit Lake city council voted Tuesday to get a study done on landscaping options for the “Polaris” corner at the junction of Highways nine and 71.

The city will spend about 6,500-dollars in getting the concepts developed with another four thousand to cover future costs if the city pursues one of the three concepts to be identified in the study.

Public Works Director Todd Dolphin says they hope to have the study ready for review by the city’s betterment committee in January or February.
