(Terril)– A Terril business was heavily damaged in a Christmas Eve fire.
The Terril Fire Department was called to Zelinsky’s Service Center at 101 Main Street around 5:45 p.m. Monday. Fire Chief Tim Mathew says the building was full of smoke and flames could be seen upon arrival. Firefighters were able to knock the blaze down…but not before it caused an estimated 50-thousand dollars in damage. Three vehicles inside the business were also destroyed.
Mathew says the fire started in a wall along a chimney near a furnace.
The Terril Fire Department was at the scene for about two and-a-half hours Monday evening.
No injuries were reported.
The blaze was noticed by a motorist who was passing by.
