(Spirit Lake)– The Siouxland Community Blood Bank will hold its first ever blood drive in Dickinson county December 27th. It’ll be held from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. near the east entrance to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital.
Jan Twait, spokesperson for the Siouxland Community Blood Bank, tells KUOO news the Sioux City-based agency is licensed by the Food and Drug Administration and serves hospitals within a 125 mile radius of Sioux City.
Twait says the Siouxland Blood Bank will continue to honor those who donated in the past to the American Red Cross. She says all you’ll have to do is tell officials the amount you previously donated and they’ll add new donations to that.
Dickinson County Memorial Hospital switched its affiliation from the American Red Cross to the Siouxland Blood Bank earlier this fall.
