(Milford)– Another computer virus is making the rounds.
This one’s called “w32goner”. Don Van Ohrt of R & D Industries, a Milford computer consulting firm, tells KUOO news it’s similar to other viruses in that it’s a “worm” spread through e-mail attachments.
To detect and get rid of it, Van Ohrt says it’s vital you have your anti-virus software updated atleast to December 6th.
Locally, Van Oohrt says mainly personal computers have been affected by the goner virus. He says many large businesses and industries that have networks are dropping unfamiliar e-mail extensions at the server.
