November 23, 2014

(Jackson, Mn.)– Four people from Wisconsin were injured when a vehicle they were in was involved in a sideswipe accident with a semi. It happened on the eastbound lanes of I-90 about 3/4 of a mile east of Jackson around 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

The Minnesota State Patrol says a 1997 Freightliner semi driven by 41-year-old David Slier of Woodland, Washington and a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban driven by 15-year-old Ashley Amjen of Neenah, Wisconsin were involved in the mishap.

Amjen and three passengers in the vehicle she was driving were taken by ambulance to the Jackson Medical Center. 38-year-old Teresa Amjen, 41-year-old Thomas Amjen and 12-year-old Cody Amjen were all taken to JMC. All were treated and released…except for Thomas Amjen who was held with cuts, bruises and abrasions.

Cody Amjen sustained only minor injuries even though he was ejected from the vehicle as it rolled. No injuries were reported to Slier.
