(Estherville)– Fundraising to build a regional wellness center in Estherville has received a boost.
Long-time Estherville residents Lois and Stan Fagre have donated 50-thousand dollars…to be used to construct a concession area in the facility.
Members of the fundraising committee have also announced that volunteers with the Estherville-Lincoln Central High School are conducting a “neighbor-to-neighbor” campaign to invite gifts and pledges.
The wellness center has a price tag of about six million dollars. Organizers hope to raise as much of that as possible through local contributions. They’ve also applied for Vision Iowa funding.
