(Sioux City)– A Sibley woman has been sentenced in U-S District Court to 108 months in prison without parole.
26-year-old Michal Carne Klinkel had previously pled guilty to a charge of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.
According to court documents, Klinkel admitted during her plea hearing that she and others distributed over 12 pounds of methamphetamine between the fall of 2000 through February 15th of this year. Most of it was sold in Sioux Falls and small towns in northwest Iowa.
A search warrant executed on February 15th of this year at Klinkel’s residence in Sibley resulted in the seizure of about two and-a-half ounces of methamphetamine, over five thousand dollars in cash and other drug-related items.
Individuals from Luverne, Minnesota and Sioux Falls, South Dakota were also arrested in the case.
