Dickinson Supervisors Approve Purchase Of Additional Computer Equipment

November 23, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– Some Dickinson county offices are about to receive some new computer equipment and software. The board of supervisors voted unanimously Tuesday to purchase document imaging software and a new server for 49-thousand dollars. It includes scanners for the Recorder’s and Treasurer’s offices. The idea is to reduce paper and files…saving storage space. The money will come out of the county’s data processing budget. New computers will also be installed in the Recorder’s office at a cost of 12-thousand dollars…with that money coming from the department’s budget.

The supervisors also Tuesday directed architect Mark Aspaas to put together bidding specifications for repairing windows in the 1891 portion of the courthouse; and they approved the transfer of 100-thousand dollars from the rural services fund to pay bills for the Moore Lake fire hydrant project. The money will be paid back once revenue starts coming in from a tax increment finance district that was established in that area.
