(Spirit Lake)– It’s back to the drawing board to get bids on a drainage project on the south edge of Lake Park. The Dickinson County Board of Supervisors Tuesday voted unanimously to reject two bids that were received on the project and get new ones. Both bids were over the engineer’s estimate. The company that submitted the lowest bid included a note saying it couldn’t guarantee completion by the December 31st deadline that was spelled out in specifications.
The board rejected the bids after an earlier motion by supervisor June Goldman to accept the low bid died due to lack of a second. The supervisors set November 13th as the date for a new bid letting with a new completion date set for this coming June 1st.
