(Spirit Lake)– A juvenile and adult male have been charged in connection with a vandalism complaint and a high speed chase late Tuesday night in Dickinson county.

The sheriff’s office says it started around 11:20 p.m. when officers spotted a suspicious vehicle near Rosenboom Machine and Tool on the west side of Spirit Lake. A chase ensued…going west on Highway nine to Vick’s Corner where officers stopped the vehicle. It was determined the occupants were wanted for vandalizing mailboxes along Lakeshore Drive in Okoboji.

The passenger, 22-year-old Andrew Hansen of Sioux City, was charged with two counts of criminal mischief in the third degree, public intoxication, interference with official acts and bootlegging.
