(Arnolds Park)– The Arnolds Park City Council has set a date for a public hearing on a massive street project.
The city wants to re-build Okoboji Grove Road from near Casey’s General Store to West Lake Okoboji at an estimated cost of 509-thousand dollars. The city’s share of that would be 327-thousand with the remainder being assessed to adjoining property owners.
A public hearing on the matter is set for 7:30 p.m. December 12th at the Arnolds Park City Hall.
In addition to re-surfacing the street, it will also be slightly re-located in places to coincide with the original right-of-way. Plans also call for a bike trail to be constructed along the street. That part of the project alone is estimated to cost about 75-thousand dollars.
