(Jackson, Mn.)– Two people sustained minor injuries Thursday in a crash involving a car and a truck in Jackson county.
The sheriff’s office says a Federal Express truck driven by 33-year-old Daniel Lee Nuehring of Mankato and a 1996 Plymouth driven by 16-year-old Wendi Mae Reith of rural Jackson collided at the crest of a hill on a county road. Authorities say Reith was southbound and lost control when she braked on the snowcovered hill. The vehicle slid across the road and collided head-on with the northbound Federal Express truck.
Reith and a passenger in the vehicle she was driving, her sister Emma, were taken by ambulance to the Windom hospital where they were treated and released. No injuries were reported to Nuehring.
Moderate damage was reported to both vehicles.
