(Milford)– No one was hurt in a house fire Sunday evening in Milford.
Firefighters were called to 1202 10th Street around 8:30 p.m.
Fire Chief Don Eckard says a child apparently started a box on fire. The renter of the house, Joyce Kelly, thought the fire had been extinguished, but called the fire department as a precaution. Upon arriving, firefighters found the blaze was NOT out. Eckard says it got into a wall and attic.
Eckard says most of the damage was confined to the wall with smoke damage throughout the house.
The Milford Fire Department was at the scene about an hour and-a-half.
