(Windom, Mn.)– Jackson county authorities have released details into a semi roll-over that took place on Monday.
Authorities say the driver, 23-year-old David Fast of Butterfield, lost control of a 2002 tractor-trailer on a county road just south of the Jackson/Cottonwood line. Fast told authorities he couldn’t stop for a stop sign so he turned left…tipping the semi onto its right side.
No injuries were reported to Fast…but about 50 of the 520 feeder pigs he was hauling were killed.
Moderate damage was reported to the International tractor-trailer owned by James Hoppe Trucking.
The mishap took place shortly after 9:00 a.m. Monday.
It was investigated by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from a D-O-T vehicle inspector.
