(Sheldon)– There’s been a change in plans to reorganize some Department of Human Services offices in northwest Iowa. Paula Heckenlively of the local DHS office in Spirit Lake tells KUOO news offices in Kossuth, O’Brien and Cherokee counties will remain full-time. The earlier proposal called for those offices to become part-time. But Heckenlively says they were able to collaborate with other counties to get additional staff for front-line workers. Heckenlively says the offices need atleast six front line workers to remain full-time.
