(Spirit Lake)– Air quality is being monitored at the Spirit Lake Elementary school after concerns about space heaters being used during construction.
Principal John Weibers told the school board earlier this week carbon monoxide detectors have been installed throughout the building and so far, they’ve turned up no dangerous levels of the gas.
Air in the building is being tested for other substances as well. Weibers says preliminary results show nothing at all out of the ordinary. Final results are due in the next day or so.
The new permanent heating system was scheduled to be operational Tuesday.
