(Des Moines)– Iowa’s jobless rate posted another increase in December.
Officials with Iowa Workforce Development say the December unemployment rate increased to three-point-five percent…up from three-point-four percent in November. Most of the reductions took place in the manufacturing, retail and service sectors.
Locally, the December unemployment rate in Dickinson county stood at two-point-nine percent…up from two-point-four percent in November.
December unemployment rates in neighboring counties included Clay county at three-point-two percent; Emmet three-point-seven percent; Osceola county at two-point-six percent; O’Brien county at two-point-one percent and Palo Alto county at three-point-two percent.
