(Jackson, Mn.)– Two men were seriously injured in the collision of two pickups Tuesday in rural Jackson county.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says pickups driven by 55-year-old Gary Wayne Hansen and 33-year-old Eric Sether…both of rural Jackson…collided at the intersection of a county road and township road.
Authorities say Hansen was southbound on the township road while Sether was easbound on County Road 28 when the two colldied. The impact caused the vehicle driven by Hansen to roll on its side.
Both Hansen and Sether were transported by ambulance to the Jackson Medical Center/Hospital. Hansen was airlifted to Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls; Sether was transferred by ground ambulance to a Sioux Falls hospital. There was no immediate word on the nature of their injuries.
Both vehicles were totaled.
The mishap took place shortly before 10:00 this morning. It remains under investigation by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and Minnesota State Patrol.
