(Arnolds Park)– Good news for Arnolds Park residents. Based on preliminary figures, City Administrator Ron Walker says the amount of taxes paid to the city will probably be going down in the upcoming fiscal year.
Walker says preliminary figures from the city’s finance committee put the levy at $6.65 per thousand dollars valuation for the upcoming fiscal year…compared to $8.85 currently.
Walker says the city has the early retirement of a TIF District in the Pelican Ridge area to thank for the reduction. He says it resulted in slightly more than 20 million dollars in valuation going back onto the tax rolls.
