(Des Moines)– Planning continues for a special attraction in Des Moines that will highlight schools in our area and throughout Iowa.
The project, being taken on by the Iowa High School Athletic Association, is known as the “Hall of Pride” to be included with the Iowa Events Center being constructed in downtown Des Moines.
The association’s Jack Lashier met with several northwest Iowa school districts last week, including Spirit Lake, to muster interest in the project.
Lashier says the display will consist of electronic kiosks telling about each school, it’s alumni, and so on.
He says he’s pleased by the support he received from the schools he’s visited in northwest Iowa.
