(Spirit Lake)– Some lakes area banks will be changing hands if things go accordingly.
Mark Fischer of United Community Bank tells KUOO news they’re acquiring the Security State Bank locations in Milford, Lake Park and Hartley. Security State Bank will continue its operations in Spirit Lake, Storm Lake, Cherokee and Sioux City.
Fischer says it’ll be business as usual for customers for right now, atleast.
The transaction is pending approval from federal regulators, but Fischer says they hope to have the deal consumated by the end of May.
