High Speed Internet Access In Rural Iowa To Be Addressed

November 23, 2014

(Undated)– The availability of high speed internet service in Iowa will be the topic of a statewide meeting on the Iowa Communications Network.

The meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. this Thursday (2/28) and will be available at two sites in northwest Iowa: the wellness center at the Emmetsburg campus of Iowa Lakes Community College, and in room 402 of building “D” at Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon.

Carol Keizer of the Northwest Iowa Planning and Development Commission says the meeting will talk about results of a statewide survey among businesses and households to determine the availability of high speed access and identify areas where it isn’t available.

Keizer says there will be an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the meeting.
