(Sioux Rapids)– A West Okoboji man was injured in a one-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon near Sioux Rapids.
The Buena Vista County Sheriff’s Office says Bruce Prentice was eastbound on a county road three and-a-half miles east of Sioux Rapids when he lost control of a pickup and a trailer. The vehicle went into the north ditch and rolled.
Prentice was taken by ambulance to the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake and was later transferred by lifeflight helicopter to Sioux City.
The pickup was described as a total loss.
