(Arnolds Park)– The Dickinson County Water Quality Commission has a tough task ahead. The commission has received 13 requests for funding totaling 184-thousand dollars. The problem is they only have 100-thousand to award in the first round of funding.
Commission Chairman Orville Berg of West Okoboji says the commission will meet again Monday to begin narrowing down the applications.
Berg says the Water Quality Commission and Cleanwater Alliance, which also reviewed the requests, were very pleased by the quality of the proposals.
