Granville Woman Injured In Car. Vs. Train Accident

(Sanborn)– A granville woman was injurred Monday when the car she was driving collided with a train in O’Brien county.

The Iowa State Patrol says 40-year-old Donna Kreber of Granville was southbound on county road L-48 west of Sanborn when she failed to stop for an eastbound I-and-M Rail Link train. The train, consisting of three engines, collided with the right side of the vehicle driven by Kreber.

Kreber was taken to the Sheldon hospital with unknown injuries.

The mishap took place around 2:30 p.m.

The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office, Sanborn and Hartley Police and the Sanborn Ambulance.
