(Arnolds Park)– Saying their finances are tapped, the Arnolds Park City Council Wednesday evening said no, atleast for now, to a request to help fund the construction of a YMCA.
While there was some debate over the location of the “Y” and what exactly would be in it for the city of Arnolds Park, council member Garnette Anderson said the bottom line is the city’s sources of funding are already spoken for.
The council didn’t slam the door entirely on the “Y”, though. They told committee members to come back in December at which time they’ll review the financial situation.
Arnolds Park was being asked to contribute 125,000-dollars over 10 years.
