(Arnolds Park)– The Arnolds Park City Council has a vacancy.
Karen Riskedahl has resigned effective immediately. She’s accepted a promotion in her job which will result in her being on the road more.
Riskedahl served slightly more than two years on the council. There’s slightly less than that left in her term.
The council is thinking about calling a special election to fill the seat. They’ve attempted to fill vacancies in the past through appointments, but petitions would later be filed calling for a special election instead.
