Unemployment Rates Stay Fairly Steady In March

(Undated)– Iowa’s jobless rate is holding steady.

Richard Running, Director of Iowa Workforce Development, says the unemployment rate for March stayed at 3.4 percent…the same as it was in February.

Rates remained fairly steady locally as well. In Dickinson county, the March jobless rate was four percent…compared with 3.9 percent in February.

Rates in neighboring counties were either steady or down slightly.

The March jobless rate in Clay county was 3.7 percent; Emmet county was at 4.6 percent; O’Brien county was three percent; Osceola was at 2.7 percent and Palo Alto county was at 3.7 percent.
