(Spirit Lake)– Some lakes area communities are getting grants to plant trees.
Spirit Lake will be getting two of them: one is through Alliant Energy’s Branching Out Program; the other is through Aquila, formerly People’s Natural Gas. Spirit Lake will get a total of 2,300-dollars.
The city of Arnolds Park will receive 3,250-dollars through Alliant Energy’s Branching Out Program.
The grants are coordinated through the Trees Forever organization.
