(Spirit Lake)– A memorial to benefit area youth and disadvantaged adults has been formed in the memory of Edna Wattier.
Wattier, who recently passed away, was a former Director of the Spirit Lake Main Sail program.
The memorial fund will be administered by the Iowa Navy Commodores.
Donations can be sent to the Edna Wattier Memorial Fund, care of Deb Dittsworth, First Bank and Trust, Box AA, Spirit Lake, 51360.
An announcement of how the fund will be dispensed along with fundraising events will be made by the commodores at a later date.
