(Des Moines)– The Iowa Attorney General’s Office has filed two counts of sexual abuse against 28-year-old Bobby Beckman, who is an inmate at the Iowa Penitentiary in Fort Madison.
The complaint filed last week contends Beckman committed sexual assault by force against another male inmate, and/or against a person suffering from a mental defect or incapacity.
The alleged abuse occurred on January 1st.
Judge William Dowell set Beckman’s bond at $25,000 and set arraignment for April 30th at the Lee county courthouse.
Beckman is currently serving a 20-year sentence for sex abuse and a five-year sentence for fleeing the state to avoid prosecution from Clay county, plus another five-year sentence for interference with a correctional worker from Lee county.
