(Spirit Lake)– A Spirit Lake High School senior is being honored in the 2002 Iowa Academic All-state Team recognition program.
Andrea Smook, daughter of Tim and Barb Smook, was named to one of the five regional Academic All-state teams.
The teams are selected annually by the Des Moines Register. They recognize Iowa’s top high school seniors for achievements in the classroom, extra-curricular activities and volunteer work they do in their communities.
Taylor Schreck of Spencer is also a member of the Northwest Iowa Academic All-state team.
This marks the 17th year for the program.
