(Primghar)– A LeMars man has been sentenced to no more than 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to robbery in the second degree…a class “C” and forcible felony.
40-year-old Ricardo George Louison was also fined a thousand dollars along with a 300-dollar surcharge and was ordered to pay court costs and court appointed attorney fees.
The charge stems from an incident on May 26th of last year. Louison was accused of forcing a car driven by a 16-year-old Rock Rapids girl off the road on Highway 18 east of Sheldon. He also allegedly tried to steal money from the girl.
Louison, who was free on bond at the time of Wednesday’s sentencing in O’Brien county, was taken into custody. He was transported to the Iowa Medical and Classification center in Oakdale.
