(Spirit Lake)– The Iowa Department of Transportation says re-surfacing of Highway nine between the Highway 86 junction and Osceola county line should start in the next couple of weeks.
Todd Youhoo, a construction engineer with the D.0.T’s regional office in Sioux City, says patching work will get underway first; with the re-surfacing to follow. He says it could be late summer or early fall before the project is completely done.
Traffic will still be allowed through the construction zone, but Youhoo says there will be delays as a pilot car will be in use.
Rohlin Construction is the general contractor on the 2.1 million dollar project.
