(Okoboji)– The Okoboji City Council has a new member.
Council members Tuesday appointed Les Marousek to a vacancy created with the recent resignation of John Long. Long stepped down because he’s moved outside of city limits. Marousek will fill the balance of Long’s term, which expires in 2004.
Marousek’s appointment to the council required him to resign from the city’s board of adjustment. The council appointed Jerry Kurth to fill that vacancy.
