(Worthington, Mn.)– One person was injured when a tire flew off a trailer and struck another vehicle Tuesday on Interstate 90 in Nobles county.
The Minnesota State Patrol says the tire flew off a trailer being pulled by a 1998 Chevrolet one ton truck that was being driven by 29-year-old Verdell Jansma of Beaver Creek. The tire struck a 1992 Ford van driven by 48-year-old Adeleta Mendoza of Worthington. Mendoza was taken to the Worthington Regional Hospital where she was treated for cuts and abrasions. No injuries were reported to Jansma.
Moderate damage was reported to the vehicle driven by Mendoza.
