(Milford)– Authorities have released the name of the person killed late Wednesday afternoon in a road construction accident in Milford.
The victim is identified as 21-year-old Travis Osborn of Yankton, South Dakota.
Osborn was an employee of TopKote, Incorporated of Yankton. The company was sealcoating a street at the time of the mishap. Osborn was run over by a dumptruck. Other details weren’t released.
Milford Police Chief Steve Zimmerman says officers were called to the 500 block of 11th Street in Milford around 5:30 p.m.
Osborn was a 1999 graduate of Yankton High School and had just completed his third year at the University of South Dakota.
The owner of TopKote, Incorporated, John Brockman, says this is the first time in 45 years the company has had a worker killed on the job.
